What are the benefits of growing Certified turf?  Maintaining genetic purity has become a focal point in the industry and certification standards ensure it.  Our nursery is responsible for following the set guidelines from the NC Crop Improvement Association and our stock is inspected prior to your plugs being shipped out.  You will receive a special blue tag with every tray we send, which can track your grass to the very field from which it came.

You will want to cut these plugs apart before removing from the tray.

EACH UNIT OF ORDER IS ONE TRAY OF 38 PLUGS THAT COVERS 52 SQUARE FEET WHEN SPACED AT 12".  38 Cell Plug Trays are to be used with the ProPlugger planting tool.

Using the appropriate plugging tool, create the hole for the grass plug.  

• 38 cell plug trays use the ProPlugger planting tool to create the hole.  Just step on the the plugger to a depth of 2", twist and pull out the plug of soil.  
• 50 cell plug trays use the Drill Auger to create the hole.  Just attach your auger to any drill and use it to create a 2" deep hole.

Next, remove the plug from the grow tray.  The root ball can be scored and/or dipped into Soil Moist root dip prior to planting.  Place the plug into the hole you created and step on it to ensure that there are no air pockets in the soil.
