El Toro Zoysia plugs will be ready around May 15th -- Here are some details

It looks like we may be only a few weeks from having the El Toro available.  All we need is continued warm weather and plenty of sunshine.  

Here are some interesting facts about this cultivar...

-widely known as the most drought tolerant, the most shade tolerant and fastest spreading zoysia cultivar

-can be mown with a regular rotary mower or a reel mower

-thrives in the hottest environments but has excellent cold tolerance

-excellent wear tolerance 

-requires less nitrogen (fertilizer), than most grasses

-extremely lush, thick, green growth with a "medium" leaf blade.

-blends well with other medium bladed zoysia grasses, as well as Centipede

-the lush and thick growth habit helps to prevent and shade out many competing weeds
